By highlighting a specific day, the remaining graphs and tables on the dashboard adjust and show their information for the specific day you chosen. Given that in this example Thursday was chosen, this is how the rest of the dashboard looks like:
You can see how the pie charts only show a small highlighted area, which is what items were bought, how they were paid for and their sold quantities on Thursday. You can also see that the top left numbers are showing the overall numbers for Thursday, instead of the whole week.
